The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting a contractor to remove an existing 3-ton residential central heat pump system and replace it with a new 3-ton system at the control tower. The work also includes replacing the existing thermostat with a programmable thermostat and installing new thermostat control wiring from the air handler or furnace to the thermostat location. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, mobilization, demobilization, fuel, and related work necessary for completion in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturers’ recommendations. The disclosed construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. The procurement is a 100% small-business set-aside under NAICS 238220. In lieu of both performance and payment bonds, the solicitation requires either a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit.
