Description
The City of Bridgeport is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to renovate the bathrooms at Hall Neighborhood House, including demolition and removal of existing plumbing fixtures, installation of ceilings and new fixtures, bathroom partitions, and upgrades to electrical wiring, plumbing, HVAC, fire alarm, and mechanical systems. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, and related services, and must complete the work in accordance with the attached scope, drawings, wage rates, and other contract documents. Bidders must be licensed in Connecticut, demonstrate recent experience with projects of similar scope and complexity and with municipal clients, provide references, a project timeline, a description of firm composition and anticipated personnel or subcontractors, and resumes for key personnel. A 10% bid bond or certified check is required for bids of $100,000 or more; the successful bidder must provide 100% payment and performance bonds when the contract price is at least $100,000. The contractor may not assign or subcontract the award without the City's prior written approval. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply. Electronic submission through the OpenGov portal is preferred, with paper submission permitted only under special circumstances.
