Description
The Connecticut Green Bank seeks a qualified contractor to perform one comprehensive preventive maintenance inspection at each of 150 commercial and institutional solar photovoltaic sites during each contract year. The portfolio totals approximately 22.5 MW DC across 62 Connecticut municipalities and includes rooftop, ground-mounted, and canopy systems ranging from 6.0 kW DC to 1,267.2 kW DC. Inspections must cover modules, racking, inverters, electrical equipment, infrared thermography, string-level measurements, meters and monitoring systems, site conditions, safety signage, and deficiencies. The contractor must provide site reports with photographs, infrared imagery, measured values, prior-year comparisons, corrective-action recommendations, and structured electronic inspection data. Additional services include investigating underperformance and equipment faults, developing electrical and solar scopes of work for third-party operations and maintenance contractors, reviewing O&M proposals, and conducting follow-up site visits. Mandatory qualifications include a current Connecticut E-1 Unlimited Electrical Contractor license, relevant commercial and institutional solar experience, capacity to complete 150 inspections annually, OSHA and arc-flash safety capability, required insurance, and qualified personnel for the contract duration. Proposals must include contractor background, three similar client references, required disclosures, insurance information, and hourly rates; a fixed price for inspections may also be provided.
