Description
Bibliomation, Inc.'s E-Rate Consortium is soliciting competitive proposals for Category 1 internet access and data transmission services, including fiber maintenance, for 11 member public libraries with existing dark fiber infrastructure and contracts. Required service capacities range from 25 Mbps to 1 Gbps, and proposals must identify the delivery method and all installation charges. The evaluation emphasizes cost, compatibility with existing library fiber networks, in-state vendor status, customer service, and past performance. Vendors must address capabilities including static IP addressing, bandwidth bursting, connectivity to library and research networks, content filtering, direct connectivity to major content providers, usage-based pricing, local support, and DDoS security protections and consulting. Proposals must also provide vendor identifiers, authorized contacts, Connecticut business authorization, proposed contract terms and conditions, and required E-Rate support information. Contracts will be awarded by individual consortium member libraries rather than by Bibliomation, Inc.
