Description
The City of Bridgeport Department of Housing & Community Development is soliciting bids for renovations at three kitchen units at McGrath House, located at 465, 467, and 469 Summit Street. The work includes replacing kitchen cabinets and bullnose countertops; installing 30-inch, 380-CFM ducted range hoods; replacing kitchen lighting with 2-foot by 2-foot, 5,800-lumen integrated LED panel lights; installing moisture-barrier underlayment and Grip Strip water-resistant luxury vinyl plank flooring; and performing related carpentry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, cleaning, maintenance, permitting, inspections, and site-protection work. The project also includes removal of the existing oil burner and installation, connection, testing, and commissioning of one high-efficiency GWA 100-N-S3 gas boiler rated at 100,000 BTU. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk-through. The contractor must be licensed in Connecticut, comply with applicable building codes and Davis-Bacon wage requirements, provide a 10% bid bond or certified check when the bid is $100,000 or more, and furnish 100% payment and performance bonds before proceeding when the contract price is at least $100,000. The solicitation requires completion of specified vendor questionnaire forms and a non-collusion affidavit with the bid; insurance certificates are generally required after award or before work begins, subject to the stated exceptions.
