Description

The City of Bridgeport Department of Housing and Community Development is soliciting bids for renovations to the main-floor and lower-level male and female bathrooms at the Community Resources for Justice Center. The work includes demolition and replacement of ceilings and wall finishes; plumbing fixture replacement; installation of dual-flush toilets, sinks, ADA-compliant vanities, doors, hardware, urinal partitions, ceramic and FRP wall panels, flooring, grout, base molding, paint, and integrated LED lighting; deep cleaning; and associated carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, flooring, and general maintenance work. The contractor must provide all supervision, labor, tools, materials, supplies, parts, equipment, permits, inspections, and related incidentals, and must comply with applicable building codes, ADA requirements, Davis-Bacon and Connecticut prevailing-wage requirements, and other municipal, state, and federal requirements. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk-through is required. Bidders must submit a bid through the procurement portal, with paper submissions permitted only under special circumstances. The bid package requires a completed bid response and vendor questionnaire, contractor license information, a bid bond or certified check when the bid is $100,000 or more, designated compliance officer, good-standing certification, Davis-Bacon wage-rate certification, equal-opportunity policy statement, no-conflicts disclosure form, and schedule of work. Performance and payment bonds of 100% of the contract price are required before permission to proceed when the contract price is $100,000 or more. Insurance requirements include workers’ compensation, commercial general liability, automobile liability, umbrella/excess liability, and applicable environmental, professional, and builder’s-risk coverage.
