Description
Suffolk County seeks a qualified actuarial consultant to perform an actuarial valuation of the County’s other post-employment benefits (OPEB) in accordance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board Statement 75. The scope includes calculating the actuarial value of benefits, total OPEB liability, plan fiduciary net position, OPEB expense, deferred outflows and inflows, and allocating results between governmental and business-type activities and by function. The consultant must prepare GASB 75 accounting information, draft financial-statement footnotes, actuarial-method and assumption disclosures, trend and sensitivity analyses, amortization schedules, and related SEC disclosures when required. The contract is anticipated to run from execution through April 30, 2029, with two one-year renewal options. Required proposal materials include a transmittal letter, compliance packet, proposer profile, financial statements, technical response, and a separate cost proposal/fee schedule.
