Description
The Ontario International Airport Authority is soliciting bids for the design-build replacement of existing fire alarm systems serving 29 facilities at Ontario International Airport. The work includes site surveys, engineering and permit-ready design, removal of obsolete systems, installation of new fully addressable and non-proprietary fire alarm control panels, detectors, notification devices, conduit, wiring, network equipment, and related interfaces. The contractor must establish centralized fire alarm monitoring in the Airport Control Center using the existing campus fiber-optic network and provide reporting, event history, cybersecurity coordination, third-party UL-listed 24-hour monitoring, and capacity for future expansion. The scope also includes voice evacuation systems at Terminal 2, Terminal 4, Federal Inspection Services, and the Ground Transportation Center; temporary fire-watch and protection measures during impairments; testing, commissioning, fire marshal approval, staff training, as-built documentation, and closeout materials. The contractor must hold an applicable California contractor license, demonstrate three similar campus-wide fire alarm replacement projects completed within the past 10 years, employ or retain NICET Level III fire alarm personnel, and self-perform at least 35% of the project work. Optional pricing is requested for two years of preventive maintenance and five years of service support and repairs.
