Description
SUNY Purchase College is soliciting sealed bids for construction work to upgrade the HVAC system serving a dance studio in the PAC Sub-C Level. The scope includes minor demolition; new mechanical equipment and ductwork; related piping and mounting anchors; a new condenser on a nearby roof; and associated electrical connections and equipment. The building will remain occupied during construction, requiring coordination to maintain safe access, egress, campus operations, and adjoining spaces. The successful contractor must complete the work within 156 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, or by June 21, 2027. Bidders must submit the prescribed proposal forms in duplicate with bid security equal to at least 5% of the Total Bid. The solicitation also requires three similar completed construction projects from the past five years, proposed subcontractor information for specified trades, and applicable safety, insurance, bonding, certification, and workforce-diversity documentation. MWBE goals are 11% MBE and 19% WBE, and the SDVOB goal is 6%.
