Description
Riverside County is soliciting sealed bids for construction to replace the Market Street Bridge over the Santa Ana River between Hall Avenue and Rivera Street in the cities of Riverside and Jurupa Valley. The work includes bridge replacement, demolition of existing foundations, deep cast-in-drilled-hole concrete pile foundations, temporary falsework, sound wall and architectural elements, utility coordination, environmental compliance, traffic control, security, and maintaining pedestrian and bicycle access to the Santa Ana River Trail. The project must accommodate adjacent levee construction and environmental restrictions involving the Santa Ana sucker and other protected resources. The engineering estimate is $11,300,000–$13,200,000 for the base bid and $38,500,000–$44,500,000 for Base Bid Schedule A. A 10% bid bond and 100% payment and performance bonds are required. Bidders must hold an active California Class A contractor's license and comply with Buy America, prevailing-wage, public-works registration, and other federal and state requirements. The DBE program is suspended for this project, so there is no DBE goal or DBE-form submission requirement.
