Description
The City of Birmingham is soliciting sealed lump-sum bids for the installation of new extractors (washers) at 22 fire stations. The work includes selective demolition, plumbing installation, and electrical installation. Bidders must submit duplicate copies of the Proposal Form and the specified supporting documents, including the Sales Tax Attachment, authorization to execute the proposal, bid bond or certified check, MBE/DBE forms, Alabama general contractor's license, City of Birmingham business license, and E-Verify documentation. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required. The estimated project value is $220,000. A 5% bid bond or cashier's check is required, subject to a $50,000 maximum; the successful bidder must later provide 100% performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds and proof of insurance.
