Description
The California Department of Transportation is soliciting a price quote for the removal and replacement of 27 commercial industrial doors and operators at the Fawnskin Maintenance Station and Magana Ortega Maintenance Station. The work includes sectional garage doors, rolling steel doors, operators, accessories, hardware, electrical connections, disposal, permits, testing, cleanup, and related incidentals. New doors must meet specified commercial-grade construction, insulation, wind-load, durability, safety, and warranty requirements, with equivalent manufacturers permitted where stated. The contractor must hold current California C-61 Limited Specialty and D-28 Doors, Gates, and Activating Devices licenses, maintain applicable Department of Industrial Relations registration, and qualify under the stated Small Business, Microbusiness, Small Business for public works, or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise eligibility requirements. Subcontracting is not permitted. The total quote may not exceed $484,000, and the work is subject to prevailing-wage requirements when applicable. The solicitation requires an emailed price quote and specified certifications and declarations; insurance and a payment bond are requested only from the winning bidder after award.
