Description
The California Department of Transportation is soliciting price quotes for the removal and replacement of 25 commercial industrial doors and operators at the Blythe, Burnt Mill, and Cajon maintenance stations. The work includes two sectional garage doors and operators at Blythe, 12 sectional garage doors and operators at Burnt Mill, and 11 rolling steel doors and operators at Cajon, along with all labor, materials, hardware, equipment, permits, travel, disposal, testing, cleanup, and incidentals. New installations must be commercial-grade, insulated, weather-tight, and designed for 120-mph wind loads and heavy-duty industrial service. The solicitation specifies requirements for door construction, operators, safety devices, hardware, finishes, warranties, prevailing wages, licensing, and Department of Industrial Relations registration. Subcontracting is not permitted. The total price quote may not exceed $484,000, and the successful bidder must provide a payment bond of at least 100% of the contract amount if the total contract price exceeds $25,000.
