Description
West Ada School District is soliciting lump-sum bids for Bid Package 19, Mechanical Systems, for the final phase of the Lake Hazel Middle School tenant-improvement project. The scope includes demolition and removal of existing HVAC equipment and ductwork; furnishing and installing complete, operable HVAC and DDC control systems; conduit, boxes, wiring, connections, supports, curbs, insulation, firestopping, flashings, and sealants; testing, adjusting, and balancing; commissioning support; temporary heating and ductwork; kitchen hood and food-service equipment connections; and coordination with plumbing and electrical contractors. The work also includes mechanical equipment installation, roof penetrations and curbs, equipment hoisting, temporary use of HVAC equipment, filters, access doors, seismic supports, and related demolition and restoration. The contractor must hold an appropriate Idaho public works license, identify applicable plumbing, HVAC, and electrical subcontractors or self-performers, and comply with project-specific school-site background-check and badge requirements. The award is expected to be made to the lowest responsive bidder. The project documents identify a $10,000 construction-manager allowance and require a two-year minimum contractor warranty, with additional manufacturer warranties where specified.
