Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs seeks a podiatry contractor to provide all-inclusive, as-needed examinations and treatment for approximately 236 residents at Southwestern Veterans' Center. The contractor must provide on-site services, see each resident quarterly, make monthly facility visits, furnish all necessary equipment, coordinate scheduling, provide backup coverage, and respond to approved emergencies within 24 hours. Services include preventative and restorative treatment of foot disorders, referrals and coordination with facility physicians, infection-control procedures, resident consultation reports, monthly service reports, and foot-care in-service education for facility personnel. Bidders must hold a current Pennsylvania podiatry license, provide applicable license and DEA information, demonstrate at least five years of podiatry experience, and ensure the provider is located within 25 miles of the facility. The contract is structured as a one-year purchase order with four one-year renewal options. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the Commonwealth's SRM system and awards to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Contractors must also comply with background-check, medical-screening, HIPAA, insurance, billing, and facility-security requirements.
