Description
The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA) is soliciting proposals for the purchase and development of the 02nd Avenue site (11-S-44), a 1.51-acre parcel located within the Pittsburgh Technology Center (PTC). This RFP aims to select a developer to advance the Preliminary Land Development Plan (PLDP) for PTC, focusing on encouraging the growth of advanced technology industries. Key development principles include creating a mixed-use component with retail and potential residential spaces, expanding the district's built fabric, and enhancing public spaces for connectivity and animation. Sustainable practices are encouraged throughout the redevelopment process. The URA is committed to diversity and inclusion, requiring respondents to submit a Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) Narrative demonstrating efforts to meet 18% minority and 7% women business enterprise participation goals. Additionally, a Minority Workforce Inclusion (MWI) Narrative is required, detailing plans to meet the City's 12% minority workforce inclusion goal for projects costing $500,000 or more. Respondents must submit proposals through IonWave Technologies, the URA's online bidding platform, by February 23rd, 2024. The selection process will be based on the quality of the proposal, alignment with URA and City of Pittsburgh economic development goals, MWBE participation, and other factors. The URA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
