Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive, as-needed dental services for residents of the Southwestern Veterans' Center. The scope includes one annual examination and prophylaxis/cleaning per resident, monthly and scheduled services, on-site dental X-rays with reports within 24 hours, additional services listed in Appendix A, emergency response and on-site emergency care, and off-site treatment when medically necessary. The contractor must provide qualified dental personnel, a backup dentist, all equipment and supplies needed for examinations, cleaning, sterilization, and X-rays, scheduling coordination, daily visit documentation, monthly reports, billing and insurance-claim support, and in-service dental education for facility personnel. Requirements include a current Pennsylvania dental license, at least five years of dental-services experience, a provider located within 25 miles of the facility, background checks and recurring health screenings for personnel, compliance with infection-control, HIPAA, and applicable legal requirements, and provision of required staff documentation.
