Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires one full-time-equivalent of onsite interventional radiology physician services, with on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, holidays, and other hours when the facility clinic is closed. The contractor must provide at least four board-certified or board-eligible interventional radiologists as key personnel, credentialed and available for scheduling. Services include interventional radiology procedures, clinical consultations, review of consults and orders, post-procedure follow-up, documentation, patient education, quality-improvement activities, and related administrative duties. On-call physicians must be available by phone within 15 minutes and onsite within 45 minutes of a call-back. The base period requires 2,080 onsite service hours, plus specified night, weekend, and holiday on-call coverage. Physicians must maintain applicable medical licenses, board certification or eligibility, credentials, privileges, training, certifications, and compliance with VA privacy, security, infection-control, and medical-record requirements. The solicitation requires pricing for a base year and four one-year option periods and evaluates technical capability, past performance, veteran-owned small-business status, and price.
