Description
Lancaster County, on behalf of its Office of Aging, is seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed MD or DO to provide consultant physician services for older adults. The scope includes competency evaluations conducted at consumers' homes, nursing homes, hospitals, and other locations throughout Lancaster County; written evaluation reports; expert testimony in protective service hearings; medical opinions regarding procedures, diagnoses, prognosis, and level of care; consultation on abuse and neglect investigations; periodic in-service training; and participation in agency meetings. The contract has a two-year, seven-month base term beginning December 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2029, with two additional one-year extension options. Proposers must submit service rates for consultation and medical services, psychiatric evaluations performed by a registered nurse, a monthly retainer, and travel time. The proposal must address qualifications, personnel, service approach, references, financial condition, background checks, licensing, insurance, and required compliance certifications. The solicitation requires one complete original proposal packet, one copy packet excluding the financial proposal, one separately sealed financial-proposal copy, and one complete electronic copy on a USB flash drive. The package must be delivered or mailed to the Purchasing Department by 11:00 a.m. on September 29, 2026.
