Description
The City of Pittsburgh is soliciting bids for custodial and cleaning services at 26 Citiparks facilities, including community recreation centers, Healthy Active Living Centers, offices, a skating rink, and related facilities. Services include daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual cleaning; restroom and locker-room sanitation; floor, carpet, stairwell, gym, kitchen, fitness-area, window, elevator, furniture, and refuse cleaning; recycling and composting support; supply restocking; and emergency or as-needed cleaning. The contractor must provide supervisory oversight, a 24-hour liaison and emergency availability, daily cleaning checklists, corrective-action documentation, and an on-call response within two hours for emergency cleanup. The City will provide cleaning supplies, cleaning agents, equipment, storage, and restocking products. The contract covers fixed-price monthly services by facility, limited and additional hourly cleaning, and bi-annual strip waxing priced per square foot. Green-cleaning methods are required, and the contractor must comply with specified insurance, prevailing-wage, minimum employee-compensation, licensing, subcontracting, and minority-, women-, and veteran-owned business participation requirements. The initial term is November 1, 2026, through October 30, 2028, with two one-year renewal options.
