Description
The Petersburg School District is soliciting proposals for a contracted itinerant physical therapist to serve students from pre-K through 12th grade (ages 3-21) during the 2025-2026 school year. The therapist will perform screenings and evaluations of gross motor and mobility skills, provide related services to support educational programs for students qualifying for special education, and collaborate with district staff to develop and implement IEP goals. The contract requires a minimum of 6 student contact days and 4 non-student contact days for screening, evaluation, direct student contact, collaboration, and training, with additional hours available based on student needs. The estimated caseload is 4 students. The therapist must hold a Master's degree in physical therapy, current Alaska licensure, and preferably a valid Alaska Type C Special Services certificate with a physical therapy endorsement. Experience in pediatric and school-based physical therapy is preferred.
