Description
The Judicial Council of California seeks one to five qualified providers to deliver court interpreter education and training classes and programs for participants in the California Court Interpreter Workforce Pilot Program. Providers must offer curriculum supporting California credentialing examinations, including the English-only Written Exam, Bilingual Interpreting Exam, Oral Proficiency Exams, and Texas BEI CIC examination for American Sign Language interpreters. Courses may be delivered online through live webinars or self-paced modules, in person, or in hybrid formats. Services must cover court terminology and procedures, professional standards and ethics, simultaneous and consecutive interpretation, sight translation, mock scenarios and examinations, participant assessments, feedback, certificates of completion, and participant enrollment and performance reporting. Providers must support participant registration without upfront charges and have capacity for more than 300 participants annually. The solicitation also requires accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA criteria and applicable disability laws. The initial agreement term is January 1 through December 31, 2027, with two additional one-year option terms. The estimated overall three-year budget is $3,600,000, subject to state funding availability. Proposals must include separate Technical and Cost Proposals submitted electronically by email, with the Technical Proposal in PDF or Word format and the Cost Proposal using the required cost forms.
