Nacogdoches Independent School District (NISD) has published a public notice of its intent to apply for federal grant funds for the 2026-2027 school year. The district plans to apply for the ESSA Consolidated Grant, which includes Title I, Part A ($2,916,338), Title II, Part A ($406,970), Title III, Part A ($150,043), and Title IV, Part A ($209,368). Additionally, NISD intends to apply for the Rural and Low-Income Schools Program (RLIS) ($191,684), IDEA-B Formula ($1,291,923), IDEA-B Preschool ($29,617), IDEA-B Discretionary Deaf Entitlement ($76,208), and Perkins V ($108,245). Funds will be used for salaries, professional development, contracted services, instructional materials, supplies, technology, and other operating costs to support student achievement, educator effectiveness, English learners, special education, and career and technical education.
