Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking capable sources for a future construction procurement to replace a critically deficient surgical air-handling system serving four operating rooms. The work includes a new surgical DX air-handling unit, rooftop ductwork, exhaust, humidity control, fire and smoke protection, monitoring and controls, replacement of existing rooftop condensing units and an exhaust fan, and an internal walk-in maintenance corridor or penthouse. Temporary systems must maintain operating-room operations during construction. The anticipated project includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, low-voltage, architectural, structural, demolition, temporary utility, testing, commissioning, project management, and construction services. The estimated construction magnitude is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000, with a 395-calendar-day performance period beginning at issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is for market research only and requests a one-page statement of capability, socioeconomic status, CAGE and SAM UEI information, bonding capacity, relevant projects completed within the past five years, and responses to the listed technical and project questions; it is not a solicitation or an offer for award.
