The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York is seeking a general contractor for exterior lighting, perimeter fence, and asbestos abatement work at CUNY York College. The scope includes general construction, site work and excavation, electrical work, and environmental work. The estimated construction cost is between $4,750,000 and $5,250,000. The successful low bidder must execute a Project Labor Agreement, and all subcontractors at every tier must agree to be bound by it. Bidders or their principals must have at least five years of experience in similar work and must submit five contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity completed or substantially completed within the past ten years. The solicitation identifies contract security, EEO/AA insurance, and a New York State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire as requirements, with further details in the contract documents.
