Description
The project is for installation of a 15-ton bridge crane in Area B of an existing National Guard vehicle maintenance shop. The crane system includes the bridge rails, trolley, hoist, power and control conductors, safety and control mechanisms, and associated components and services. The contractor is also responsible for the crane support framing, including support brackets, runway girders, sway braces, bumper stops, and specified connections; the crane manufacturer furnishes and installs the rails. The bid includes alternate items for a loading dock ramp, work-bay aprons, heavy-duty pavement, combined heat and power units, work-bay destratification fans, and full vehicle exhaust. The bid form requires a completed Contractor Bid Form and bid security; a 5% bid bond or certified/cashier’s check is required when applicable under the bid documents. Performance and payment bonds are required when the stated conditions apply, including contract value over $125,000.
