Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requires repair, refurbishment, and refresh work for existing exhibit components at the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center Exhibit Hall, including hardware, lighting, rockwork, casework, graphic panels, content, monitors, and the Winter Bear Den and Ptarmigan exhibits. The requirement also includes a full redesign of the Boreal Forest Touch Zone, including touch-tray casework, tactile layers, content refinement, fabrication oversight, and installation. The contractor must provide all labor and materials for fabrication, transport, installation, cleanup, incidental-damage repair, and brief operations and maintenance notes for repaired mechanical or electrical components. Redesign work requires 10%, 35%, 65%, and 95% design submittals before fabrication. Solutions must be durable, low-maintenance, and ADA-compliant, and must comply with applicable fire, building, electrical, and local codes. The anticipated contract is a firm-fixed-price purchase order with a period of performance from September 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. The government identifies a notional budget of approximately $25,000 to $50,000 and will evaluate technical approach, timeframes, design style, capability, and past performance along with price.
