Description
The City of Seward is soliciting bids for construction of the Lowell Point Blower Replacement project. Work includes demolishing existing blowers and motors, housekeeping pads, control panels, conductors, valves, gypsum wallboard, and miscellaneous components; installing owner-furnished blowers, motors, and control panels; and furnishing and installing conduit, conductors, four butterfly valves, two check valves, four flexible couplings, four pipe spools, gypsum wallboard, two housekeeping pads, one alarm panel, two variable frequency drives, one reducer, and related miscellaneous work. Bids must be submitted on the furnished forms by the stated deadline. The contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified, responsive, and responsible bidder, subject to the stated local-bidder preference when bids are approximately equal. Alaska public-contract labor requirements and a Federal Wage Determination apply.
