Description
The State of Alaska Department of Health, Division of Behavioral Health, seeks a qualified contractor based in Anchorage to provide statewide support services for individuals returning to Alaska communities following incarceration. The contractor will serve approximately 500 reentrants annually, with a primary focus on Anchorage and service availability throughout the state. Services include immediate transitional housing and housing stabilization, employment and economic-stability assistance, individualized case management, benefits applications, transportation and identification assistance, food, clothing, hygiene, communication, and referrals or documented warm handoffs to behavioral health, substance-use, medical, vocational, Tribal, and other community services. The contractor must coordinate with state agencies, the Department of Corrections, Tribal organizations, landlords, employers, and community providers; maintain participant records and AKAIMS documentation; submit monthly performance reports and itemized invoices; and manage assistance expenditures within the approved budget. Subcontractors and joint ventures are not allowed. The initial term is approximately one year with four additional one-year renewal options, and the estimated project budget is $2,034,375.
