Description
The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is soliciting competitive bids for approximately 4,500 bags of non-fat dry milk, totaling an estimated 225,000 pounds over 12 months. The product must be conventional spray-process, high-heat, extra-grade dry milk containing only non-fat dry milk and lactose, conforming to specified analytical and federal standards. It must be packaged in 50-pound or 25-kilogram multi-wall paper sacks lined with polyethylene, labeled with ingredients, allergens, and nutritional information, and palletized for shipment. Vendors must provide manufacturer product labels and product specifications with their bids. The contract requires FOB-destination delivery to the department's central warehouse on an as-needed basis, generally within 30 consecutive calendar days after receipt of a purchase order. Pricing will be based on the applicable USDA non-fat dry milk market price plus or minus the vendor's offered differential. The initial term is one year, with up to two additional one-year renewal options. Bids must include the required execution pages, pricing and sustainability forms, customer references, worker-location information, financial and lobbying certifications, and other specified response materials.
