Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service is seeking a contractor to perform concrete work at Building 6 of the Honeybee Breeding, Genetics, and Physiology Research Laboratory. The contractor must remove and stockpile existing limestone aggregate, then grade, compact, form, place, and finish new reinforced four-inch concrete paving using 3,500-psi concrete at two approximately 4-by-8-foot walkway locations adjacent to the building's east and south sides. The scope includes all labor, materials, equipment, permits, inspections, debris removal, daily reporting, site protection, and coordination with government personnel. The contractor must provide material specifications, a detailed cost proposal in Microsoft Excel, a work description in Microsoft Word, a superintendent, and a site-specific safety plan/accident prevention plan within 14 days after award. Work must be completed within 45 calendar days after notice to proceed, during the site's normal Monday-through-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. work hours. Quotations will be evaluated using a lowest-price-technically-acceptable approach, including technical approach, company experience with up to three similar contracts completed within the last three years, pricing, and past performance.
