Description
The City of Albany is requesting quotations from licensed contractors to complete site preparation and foundation work for a four-story fire training tower. The scope includes mobilization, erosion and sediment control, site excavation, foundation installation for the approximately 40-by-24-foot tower footprint, concrete flatwork, aggregate base placement and compaction, reinforced concrete footings and slabs, embeds, drainage grading, protection of existing underground utilities and conduit, excavation and backfill, and coordination with the electrical contractor, geotechnical inspectors, project manager, and tower general contractor. Work must comply with the City of Albany Standard Construction Specifications and Oregon prevailing-wage requirements. The estimated construction cost is $40,000. A mandatory prebid site visit is required, and bidders must submit a non-editable PDF quotation using the City-provided forms. Required submission materials include the Schedule of Contract Prices/Quotation, signed Proposal, applicable Addenda Acknowledgement, evidence of insurance, Employee Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Certification, and Responsibility Certification. The selected contractor must complete all work by December 15, 2026, with foundation footings poured by November 15, 2026.
