Description
The Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, is soliciting one new and unused Class II research vessel for operations supporting Papahanaumokuakea National Marine Sanctuary. The vessel will be based in Oahu, Hawaii, carry science and dive parties of up to nine people, and support dive training, emergency response, acoustic studies, whale-entanglement response, vessel inspections, partner missions, baseline data collection, and specimen collection. The vessel must meet the previously specified hull, capacity, performance, propulsion, navigation, communications, dive-support, safety, working-area, and storage requirements for exposed Hawaiian waters. Optional line items include a marine-grade boat trailer, flybridge operating station, second autopilot station, and shipping. Amendment 0001 extends the offer deadline to September 25, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time, extends the question deadline to September 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and adds Attachment B, “Vendor Questions and Responses.” The second autopilot station is required only if the Government also selects the optional flybridge operating station. Offers must include separate technical and price quote volumes, the required technical response and supporting materials, pricing for all contract line items, Standard Form 1449, and acknowledgment of the amendment.
