The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime—Pearl Harbor, is soliciting custom carbon-steel weld test specimens for ultrasonic testing. The attached drawings define multiple specimen configurations, including ground-flush corner welds, corner welds, full-penetration tee welds, and butt welds, with specified dimensions, weld tolerances, defect tolerances, and intentionally controlled flaws such as lack of fusion, lack of penetration, cracks, slag, porosity, and transverse defects.
