Description
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is seeking one or more licensed and certified contractors to provide abatement and remediation services at state-owned and leased properties throughout Iowa. The scope includes asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint, mold, and other hazardous materials, including survey review, containment, removal, encapsulation, repair, transport, disposal, clearance testing, and final documentation. Iowa DAS may award the contract to multiple bidders to ensure availability across all locations. Contractors must meet applicable licensing and certification requirements and provide the personnel, equipment, documentation, and regulatory compliance necessary for hazardous-material abatement and remediation. Services include routine and emergency response, site-specific work and health-and-safety plans, independent clearance testing, waste manifests and disposal records, daily logs, closeout reports, and compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, state, and local requirements. Subcontractors require advance agency approval.
