Description
The City of Torrington is requesting qualifications and proposals from contractors for abatement work on the second and third floors of Vinny's at 245 E. Elm Street. The solicitation requires a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount; the awarded contractor must provide 100% performance and labor and material bonds. A non-collusion statement for prime contractors and an addendum acknowledgment must be submitted with the bid. Bidders must register on the City's website to download the bid documents. Questions are due in writing by September 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., and a pre-bid site walk is scheduled for September 3, 2026. Minority-, woman-, and small-business enterprises are encouraged to apply, and the contract is subject to state set-aside and contract-compliance requirements.
