Description
The Iowa Department of Public Defense, on behalf of the Iowa Army National Guard, is soliciting bids for the Railroad Avenue Replacement Project. The base bid includes replacement of the roadway from 5th Street to 7th Street, including approximately 4,845 square yards of 8-inch PCC pavement, excavation, modified subbase, pavement removal, storm sewer installation and removal, sanitary sewer work, water main and service adjustments, pavement markings, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, construction surveying, mobilization, and related work. Alternate Bid No. 1 covers replacement from 1st Street to 5th Street. Bidders must submit the Form of Bid and Supplement D: Targeted Small Business Form through the State of Iowa IMPACS system. The project is subject to a 10% Targeted Small Business participation goal, Build America Buy America requirements, Iowa contractor registration requirements, specified insurance coverage, and performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. A pre-bid conference and optional site tour are scheduled, and the contract is contingent on receiving requested federal and/or state funding.
