The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, through the Finger Lakes Developmental Disabilities Service Office, is seeking a contractor to remove and dispose of asbestos-containing black tar flashing at approximately 23 roof penetrations, totaling about 100 square feet, at the Middle Cheshire IRA. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, notifications, disposal fees, site cleanup, personal air monitoring, and required laboratory testing. Work must comply with New York State Industrial Code Rule 56, OSHA, EPA/NESHAPS, and other applicable regulations, with prevailing wages paid. The project requires a mandatory site visit, New York State asbestos-handling licensing and Department of Labor registration, qualified asbestos-abatement personnel, insurance, secure handling and disposal of asbestos waste, and submission of required regulatory records and closeout documentation. Work is to be coordinated with the occupied residence, performed continuously once started, and completed within 60 days of receiving the purchase order. Subcontractors require prior written approval, and the completed work must carry at least a one-year warranty.
