Description
The U.S. Coast Guard is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to completely renovate three bathrooms in the Male Berthing, Female Berthing, and Command/Officer of the Day areas. Work includes demolition and removal of existing tile, drywall, plumbing fixtures, vanities, partitions, mirrors, lighting, exhaust fans, and accessories; installation of new commercial plumbing fixtures, showers, tile flooring, ceramic wall tile, paint, rot-proof trim and baseboards, sinks, toilets, urinals, stalls, partitions, mirrors, accessories, and wet-rated LED lighting; and ventilation work where specified. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, and materials, protect adjacent areas, coordinate utility disruptions, maintain containment and cleanliness, remove debris, and legally characterize and dispose of waste off-site. The work includes lead-safety procedures for removal of identified lead-containing ceramic wall tile, compliance with applicable OSHA and Cal/OSHA requirements, licensed and qualified plumbing, electrical, tile-setting, and mechanical personnel, and adherence to Buy American construction-material requirements. Performance must begin within 15 calendar days after award and be completed within 60 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. The estimated project magnitude is $25,000 to $100,000, and payment protection equal to 100 percent of the contract price is required after award. Offers must include a company point of contact, SAM representations, technical approach, detailed pricing, up to three recent and relevant past-performance examples, and submission on company letterhead.
