Description
The U.S. Coast Guard is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to repair various paving areas at Air Station San Francisco, primarily the sidewalk around the PSU Building and pavement outside the PSU Boathouse. Work includes site preparation and safety measures; demolition and disposal of concrete and existing pavement; subbase preparation; rebar installation; placement of approximately 519.5 square feet of 4-inch concrete and 1,142 square feet of 7-inch concrete; broom finishing; grinding approximately 4 linear feet of trip hazards; patchback hot-mix asphalt; and final cleanup. The boathouse pavement must support constant traffic from heavy vehicles and trailer boats. The project is estimated at $25,000 to $100,000 and must begin within 15 calendar days after award and be completed within 90 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. The contractor must comply with applicable codes, OSHA safety standards, Coast Guard facility-access requirements, Buy American construction-material requirements, and specified insurance and payment-protection provisions. Offers must include a technical approach and detailed pricing breakdown and will be awarded to the lowest-priced offer found technically acceptable.
