Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is purchasing seven mobile UV disinfection devices equivalent to the Xenex LightStrike+ UV Robot MXSUV1-SL. Offered devices must be FDA 510(k)-cleared or De Novo-authorized Class II whole-room microbial-reduction devices under 21 CFR 880.6510, Product Code QXJ, intended for healthcare environments. Devices must meet the stated salient characteristics, including validated germicidal UV performance; 4- to 6-log microbial reduction; performance data for MRSA, VRE, Acinetobacter, Clostridioides difficile, and representative virus surrogates; automated cycle logging and secure reporting; wireless or equivalent data synchronization; safety sensors and automatic shutdown features; remote cycle control; mobility and transport protection; operational status displays; and a validated standard operating plan. Functionally equivalent methods are acceptable. The purchase includes software licensing, secure cloud-based reporting and storage, factory replacement accessories, new OEM replacement emitters, on-site service and training, remote diagnostics and telemetry, software and firmware updates, 24/7 technical support, predictive maintenance alerts, monthly performance reporting, a manufacturer performance-management portal, and a one-year warranty and support package. Quotes must include the completed supplies cost schedule, FDA authorization documentation, and OEM authorization documentation unless the quoter is the OEM. The optional trade-in credit for seven existing Xenex MXSUV1-SL units should be shown as a negative amount, or as $0.00 if no credit is offered. All contractors must acknowledge Amendment 0001.
