Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for the CONDITIONER, POWER L (NSN 6110-01-493-4402; part number HM020-179-37) supporting the CHINOOK weapon system. The agency states that the technical data needed for a competitive acquisition is unavailable and that the item is currently being procured under FAR 6.302-1(a)(1) based on only one responsible source. Potential sources must be capable of completing prequalification and source-approval requirements, including recurring and nonrecurring engineering associated with qualification. The anticipated supplier would be responsible for the full manufacturing and production process, supply-chain management, logistics, forecasting, long-lead-part procurement, obsolescence issues, and final delivery.
