Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, on behalf of the VA Northern California Health Care System, is conducting market research for a commercial supply and service requirement supporting its existing ASSA ABLOY/MEDECO Intelligent Key high-security lock, cylinder, key, and software system. The requirement is limited to authorized ASSA ABLOY/MEDECO vendors or distributors and requires continued compatibility with the installed environment. The anticipated scope includes 150 MEDECO Intelligent Key lock cores; 200 compatible intelligent key fobs, consisting of 25 heavy-duty and 175 standard fobs; five Integrated Programming Devices; 100 industrial-rated, moisture-resistant 32 GB micro SD cards; at least one MEDECO server software upgrade annually; critical security and functionality updates; and 24-hour software support. Deliveries are required within 60 days of the base contract award and each option-year award. The contractor must provide proof of authorization, maintain service and invoicing records, and submit a subcontractor work plan if subcontractors are proposed. The anticipated contract structure is firm-fixed-price with one 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods.
