Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting a firm-fixed-price proposal for four vinyl aircraft shelters/sunshades, associated kits and materials, installation, and shipping to Edwards Air Force Base. The work includes engineered structural design capable of withstanding sustained 110-mph winds and applicable seismic, snow-load, and California building-code requirements; 28-ounce flame-retardant NFPA 701-compliant fabric; hot-dip zinc-coated steel framing; corrosion protection; and installation in an active airfield environment. The contractor must provide site preparation and installation planning, required engineering drawings and approvals, electrical integration for high-efficiency LED lighting and weatherproof GFCI outlets, safety and foreign-object-damage controls, and a commercial warranty of at least 10 years covering structural integrity, corrosion, weld failure, and fabric deterioration. Proposals must include price, technical capability, past performance, and administrative volumes, with up to three relevant references from the preceding three years.
