Description
The U.S. Coast Guard is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to remove and dispose of an existing damaged steel rolling door with pass door and motor operator, then furnish, install, test, and certify two new 16-by-14-foot heavy-duty steel rolling doors. Each door must include a 3-by-7-foot pass door with window and frame, photo-eye safety equipment, custom steel-angle photo-eye protectors, an extruded aluminum foot piece with astragal, and UL 325-compliant anti-entrapment controls. Protectors must be mounted to the concrete floor and wall and powder-coated safety yellow. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials; perform daily cleanup and waste disposal; restore construction areas; and minimize impacts to Coast Guard operations. Work is to be performed Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays, unless otherwise authorized. The contractor must begin within 15 calendar days after award and complete the project within 60 calendar days after award. The estimated project magnitude is $25,000 to $100,000. A payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit equal to 100% of the contract price is required within 10 days after award.
