Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a request for information to identify qualified sources for six Motorola APX NEXT All-Band Model 4.5 portable radios, or equal products, with remote speaker microphones, batteries, desktop chargers, software licenses, encryption, LTE and Wi-Fi capabilities, programming, provisioning, and related accessories. The requested radios must support VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz frequencies; P25 conventional and trunked operation; interoperability with specified public-safety radio systems; advanced encryption; GPS, Bluetooth, touchscreen, ruggedized, hazardous-location, and IP68 capabilities; and Motorola Smart Features such as SmartConnect, SmartLocate, SmartMapping, SmartMessaging, and ViQi. The RFI also requests device programming, codeplug development, provisioning support, SmartConnect access, RadioCentral programming, and on-site support during cutover and programming. Respondents are asked to provide company and socioeconomic information, product specifications and brochures, availability and lead times, warranty information, applicable federal schedule or contract details, rough-order-of-magnitude pricing, manufacturer or distributor status, Buy American Act compliance information, subcontracting details, and a capabilities statement demonstrating compliance with the salient characteristics. Responses are for market research and planning only and will not constitute offers or result directly in a contract award.
