The U.S. Space Force is conducting market research for a combined supply and service requirement involving 88 Twin XL bunkable bedframes and 88 Twin XL institutional innerspring mattresses. The bedframes must use solid hardwood or hardwood veneer construction, have a durable institutional finish, include mattress support, and accommodate Twin XL mattresses. The mattresses must be firm, reversible, fluid-proof, bedbug-resistant, and compliant with 16 CFR Parts 1632 and 1633. The contractor must provide freight, unloading, staging, assembly, placement, leveling, removal of packing materials, and de-installation and haul-away of 44 existing Full XL bedframes and 44 mattresses. Removed items must be transported to the base warehouse, and disposal must comply with applicable regulations. Work includes manual movement through multi-story stairwells because the building has no elevators. Services will be performed in Buildings 13321, 13122, and 13135, with a target installation completion date of November 16, 2026, and mandatory final completion no later than December 4, 2026. Responders must provide a capability statement addressing schedule feasibility, technical compliance, logistics capability, company and socioeconomic information, and any applicable contract vehicles; an optional, non-binding rough-order-of-magnitude price breakdown may also be submitted. The statement of work requires a one-year warranty and compliance with applicable environmental, safety, security, access, and installation requirements.
