Description
The City of Akron is seeking qualified contractors to perform litter removal and nuisance abatement cleanups at private and publicly owned properties throughout the city. Work may include removing garbage, construction materials, brush, logs, vehicle parts, tires, furniture, appliances, animal waste, and other hazardous nuisances. Contractors must provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and disposal services, including equipment such as dumpsters or dump trailers and a skid loader with front grapple. Assignments must begin within 72 hours of the City's email request and be completed within 24 hours after work begins, generally Monday through Saturday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Removed materials must be transported and disposed of at a local Ohio Environmental Protection Agency-approved facility. The contract period is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, with fixed pricing and City-only cancellation upon 30 days' notice. Bidders must submit labor pricing, an EEO report, a supplier submission page, an online litter-removal pricing table, and, if requested, equipment and similar-work references.
