Description
The City of Akron is requesting proposals from qualified, licensed providers to conduct pre-employment psychological evaluations for candidates considered for designated positions, particularly roles involving public safety, confidential information, and high-stress decision-making. Services include reviewing background information, administering validated job-appropriate assessments and standardized testing, conducting clinical interviews, preparing objective written reports with recommendations regarding suitability, securely maintaining records, consulting with Human Resources, and meeting agreed-upon turnaround times. Providers must hold a psychologist license or equivalent credential in Ohio, demonstrate relevant pre-employment evaluation experience, comply with applicable employment-testing laws and ADA and EEOC requirements, and maintain professional liability insurance. Proposals must describe the provider's background, relevant experience, key evaluators and licenses, evaluation approach, reporting criteria, timelines, and per-candidate pricing and additional fees; three references are required. The contract term is one year, with up to two additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement, and pricing must remain firm for the contract period.
