]The proposed work consists of snow plowing services of residential driveways (and possible alternates involving snow clearing and salt application) to assist seniors and adults with disabilities within the City of Hudson, Ohio. Services are to be completed in accordance with the specifications which are on file in the office of the Public Works Department.

Description
The City of Hudson is soliciting bids for its 2026-2027 Residential Driveway Plowing Program to assist seniors and adults with disabilities. The base bid includes one eight-foot-wide plowing pass per driveway, clearing a walking path up to 50 feet from the house entry to a detached garage, and salting that walking path. Possible alternates include clearing around street-side mailboxes, clearing City sidewalks in front of residences, and salting those sidewalks. The contractor must provide at least two clean, mechanically sound trucks no larger than one-ton vehicles, with snowplow blades no wider than eight feet, shoes, and required emergency lighting. Drivers must be at least 21 years old, have at least two years of snowplowing experience, maintain valid licenses, and be available with required staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Participants may request service from November 1, 2026, through April 15, 2027, and requested work must be completed within 48 hours. The program is capped at 150 participants, subject to change, and the contractor is paid by actual unit quantities rather than guaranteed quantities.
